From the Archdiocese of Morelia, Mexico. Extern priest in Galveston-Houston. Guzman molested a 13-year-old girl in her grandfather’s house in 1984. Caught by a social worker who reported abuse to Bishop. Transferred to another parish where he started an “affair” with a married woman. Removed from ministry in 1987. Civil suit filed 1990 by a woman he seduced and made pregnant. Jury denied her claims but Guzman testimony in this case resulted in criminal charges and conviction in 1992 in the case involving the 13-year-old girl. Sentenced to 10 years in jail. Served 90 day shock probation and released. Was working in 1992 in Houston real estate. Died in 2006.
