“Fr. Gus.” Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/19 under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abuse, including rape, of a boy, ages 8-12, who resided at St. Joseph Villa in the 1970s. Hanna was chaplain at the home 1946-77. Per Hannah’s accuser, a Sr. Betty discovered blood in the boy’s underwear underwear, beat him and sent him back to Hanna for confession. Hanna died 1/9/06 at age 97. The same accuser alleged in a separate lawsuit that he was also brutally abused at age 16 in 1981 by a man who ran a church youth program, Dan Charcholla.
