Fr. Louis J. Hendricks

Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list 3/20/18. Died in 1990 at age 53. Listed in the 1988 Official Catholic Directory as working at St Patrick’s in Randolph, NY. Accused in three lawsuits filed in 8/2019 under the NY Child Victims Act. One claimed abuse 1964-1966 of a boy ages 5-7, and again 1972-1974, when the boy was ages 13-16. Another claimed abuse 1968-1969 of a 10-year-old at St. Joseph’s Cathedral. The third claimed abuse of a child ages 6-10 at the Cathedral 1967-1970. Accused in a suit filed 8/1/2020 by a man, age 52, of abuse as teenager by Hendricks, Rev. Joseph Friel, and a Franciscan named “Bro. Dale.”
