Fr. Douglas U. Hermansen
Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 2/13/2019. One alleged victim noted. Removed from ministry. Per news in 6/2020, Hermansen was accused in a lawsuit of the sexual abuse of an altar boy, age 15, in 1975, prior to ordination. The suit claims Hermansen anally penetrated the boy over 100 times. Accused in a suit in 8/2020 of abusing a child, ages 12-13, in 1985-1986. Settlement in 2020 in the low six figures of a claim that Hermansen sexually abused an altar boy during 1979-1983, when the boy was ages 13-17.
