Fr. Augustine K. Jones
Convicted in 1968 of abuse of a boy. Received three years probation and treatment. More charges in 1993 of abuse in 1990. Indicted in 1993. Pleaded guilty. Sentenced to four years probation. Died 9/28/2007 at Blue Cloud Abbey in SD. On Rockford diocese’s list 11/14/2018. Included on the Benedictines of Marmion Abbey list 2/24/2023, which notes abuse in 1959, 1960s and early 1990s. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report.
