Fr. Francis J. Kane
Accused in a 1994 civil suit of the sexual abuse of a youth in 1982 at St. Bartholomew’s in Cape Elizabeth. Kane had been placed on limited ministry in 1987. The claim settled in 1995. Kane retired in 1997 from duties as a hospital chaplain. In 1/2007 it was announced that the Vatican had ordered Kane to lead a life of prayer and penance. He died 11/13/2010.
