Fr. Francis J. Kane
Accused in a 1994 civil suit of abuse of a youth in 1982 at St. Bartholomew’s in Cape Elizabeth. Kane had been placed on limited ministry in 1987. Claim settled in 1995. Retired in 1997 from duties as hospital chaplain. In 1/07 it was announced that the Vatican had ordered Kane to lead a life of prayer and penance. Died 11/13/10.
