Br. Thomas F. Kelly
Br. Benedict Joseph. Joined the Xaverians in 1933. Died in 1976. Named publicly as accused by the Order on its list 7/12/2019. Allegation reported in 1995 of abuse in Baltimore in 1945. The alleged victim said he was abused by Kelly, including rape, at St. Mary’s Industrial School from ages 13-16, beginning in about 1945. This accuser said he was also sexually abused at the school by Xaverian Bros. Luanus/Lawrence Meegan and Fabian/Francis Donal, and by Passionist priest Timothy McGrath. Included on the Baltimore archdiocese’s list in 7/2019 and in the MD Attorney General’s Report 4/5/2023 .
