Fr. Phillip C. Keyes
Ordained for the Diocese of Madison. Left in 1976. Became a priest the breakaway, traditionalist Society of St. Pius X. Convicted of first degree sexual assault of 10-year-old boy in 1993. Sentenced to one year in jail, with privileges to get out to feed cats and take care of home. Sued in 1994 by the youth and an adult alleging abuse when he was a minor in 1982-84. Suit settled in 1994. Keyes paid some to both parties. Diocese and order had settled earlier. Died in 1998.
