Fr. Laurence LaPointe
Pastor of Corpus Christi Parish in Willimantic CT when placed on leave by the Diocese of Norwich 3/6/2026, after the CT Department of Children and Families investigated an allegation against him of the sexual abuse of a child in the early 1970s. Further, LaPointe was indicted in MD for a sex offense against someone under age 14 and abuse to a child under 18, both allegedly occurring in the mid-1970s. LaPointed denied the allegations.
