Accused of sexually abusing boys. First complaint received in 1997. Investigation found no evidence and Lavin continued in his position. Two more men complained in 2002. He was then placed on permanent leave. Laicized in 2004. At least one claim included in $1.3M settlement of 12/06 with Archdiocese. No criminal charges ever filed.
