Fr. Richard Lewkiewicz
“Fr. Lewk.” Parish priest, assigned to Blessed Sacrament in Brooklyn 1968-1979; St. Camillus in Rockaway Park 1979-1988; Good Shepherd in Marine Park 1988-1998; Our Lady of Angels in Bay Ridge 1998-2017. In a massive civil suit filed in 10/2003, 27 plaintiffs alleged abuse by 24 priests, including Lewkiewicz. Bishop DiMarzio announced in 11/2004 that the Diocesan Review Board found that the allegation “had no merit.” Lewkiewicz retired in 9/2017 and died 11/2/2022.
