From Brazil; naturalized U.S. citizen. Member of Missio, a Brazilian bishops-sponsored community of priests sent to the U.S. to minister to ex-pat Brazilians. Had been working at St. Francis Xavier in Hyannis and other churches in the Fall River diocese since 1998. Placed on leave in 8/2008 after allegations that he sexually assaulted a minor in Bridgeport CT. Fled to Brazil after being notified of investigation by Department of Children and Families, and that the allegation was substantiated. Included in 1/2021 on the Fall River diocese’s list of accused.
