Fr. William R. Logan
Accused of abuse of two girls 1970s-1980s. Placed on leave in 3/06. One woman tape-recorded a conversation with him just before his suspension. He denied all allegations. A parent came forward to say she had complained about his behavior to the Diocese in the early 1980s. Reinstated in 9/06 after review board could not substantiate complaints. Suit filed in 9/06. Both women filed criminal complaints in 2/07. Included in 3/21 on the diocese’s list of accused. Abuse allegedly occurred at St. Lawrence the Martyr in Sayville, where Logan was assigned 6/69-2/75 and at St. James in Seaford, where he worked 6/80-6/85.
