Born in Italy 5/12/1923. Joined the Salesians in 1939 in the U.S. Taught 1957-1967 at Salesian high schools in the Los Angeles archdiocese in Bellflower, San Gabriel and Los Angeles. Also worked in parishes. Lectured at Southern IL University 1966-1971. Worked in Rome 1985-1990 as Director of Documentation for Caritas Internationalis, and later at the Salesian Provincial Office. Reportedly worked at the Vatican Press Office for four years in the 1990s. Accused in 2002 of abuse in 1957-1958 of a student; his accuser sued the Order. Another former student publicly alleged abuse by Lorenzoni when he was a high school student during 1959-1960 in Watsonville CA. Name included on the Los Angeles archdiocese’s list of accused in 2004. Lorenzoni died 9/5/2017. Included on the Belleville diocese’s list 9/20/2022. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report.
