Fr. Edward C. Maliszewski
Accused in a lawsuit filed in 4/2020 of sexually abusing a boy, beginning in the early 1960s when the boy was age 7 or 8 and continuing through age 15. Maliszewski was assigned 1955-1964 to St. Coleman’s in Turtle Creek, where the boy was a student. The boy was a resident of the New Castle Youth Development Center (NYCD) at age 15. The suit also claims the boy was abused by two other unknown priests, one at NCYD and the other during a stay 1970-1971 at Woodville State Hospital. Maliszewski died in 2006. Name included in 2022 on the diocese’s list of accused.
