Brother of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (M.I.C.M.), based at St. Benedict Abbey in Harvard MA. Died 12/29/2013, age 86. A man told the Order in 2017 that Martin raped him as a boy in the 1970s. The man filed suit in 7/2018, claiming Abbot Francis X. Connelly knew Martin admitted the abuse to the police in 2013, but didn’t tell him. A CA monsignor had contacted police after the man confided in him. The man also claimed the Abbot offered to help with his medical expenses, but withdrew the offer because his needs were too costly.
