Fr. Peter McCormick
First named publicly as accused on the diocese’s list 10/18. Assigned to Sacred Heart parish 1984-2000. Admitted to “sexual acts” with a juvenile while at Sacred Heart. Per diocesan records, McCormick abused a boy at a church near L.A. in 1990, starting when the boy was age 13 and into the boy’s adulthood. The diocese received the allegations in 2000 and removed McCormick from ministry. Diocesan officials contacted law enforcement two years later.
