Fr. James E. Murphy
Name appeared on list of 21 priests accused of abuse which District Attorney released in 9/02. Per the list, there were three alleged victims with claims beyond the SOL. Worked at St. Patrick Church until lhe eft for Lima, Peru, in 1966 for a mission. Upon his return, assigned to St. Mary’s in Taunton. Assigned to Archdiocese of Anchorage 1982-92. Included on Anchorage list of credibly accused, with allegations of sexual misconduct with minors 1965-71, which notes laicization in 2012. On Fall River diocese’s list in 1/21 of credibly accused. It notes that laicization was in 2006. Murphy died in 2020.
