Fr. Howard J. Nash
Named publicly as accused by the Archdiocese on its list 1/22/2019, noting one allegation received in 2003. Nash died 10/28/2001. A lawsuit filed in 7/2025 claims that in 1988 Nash sexually assaulted an 8-year old boy at gunpoint. The abuse allegedly occurred during an overnight ski trip to Nash’s home in VT, after the boy had gone to bed. Per the lawsuit, Nash later told the boy that whatever he thought happened was a nightmare and he’d better forget all about it. Nash was a friend of the boy’s family. He was assigned to St. Bernadette’s in New Haven during the time in question.
