Fr. Michael T. Neuberger
Accused in a 1993 civil suit of sexually abusing a boy 1964-66. The plaintiff also sued two insurance companies. Accused in a 1994 suit of abusing a boy in 1968. In 6/97 the WI Supreme Court dismissed the suits and five more against other priests after ruling that victims with repressed memories of sexual abuse have just two years after reaching the age of majority to file complaints. Dismissed from the clerical state in 1998. Neuberger appealed. In 2008 the archbishop, with the Vatican’s authorization, gave Neuberger the status of “fully restricted from public ministry.”
