Allegations in 1993 and 1997, per archdiocesan records. Removed 2in 002. Arrested in 2003 in Charleston SC for abuse in 1979-80. Was a visiting priest there. Criminal trial in 4/06. Allegations in both Boston and Charleston. Pled guilty just prior to start of criminal trial 4/25/06. A 30-year sentence was changed to 5 years probation. Civil suit in Charleston settled at mediation in 8/06. Involuntary laicization announced by the Boston Archdiocese in 3/07. On Charleston diocese’s list 3/29/19.
