Accused in a lawsuit(s) filed in 2020 of child sexual abuse while assigned to St. Stephen’s in Pennsauken and Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill NJ 1964-66. May be the John P. O’Brien who arrived in the diocese from Ireland in 1946, Per the Official Catholic Directory, O’Brien was named Monsignor in 1967. He was on sick leave 1970-73, then on duty outside the diocese. He appears to have resurfaced in 1973 in Athens, AL in the Diocese of Birmingham AL. He died 11/28/76.
