Accused in a lawsuit(s) filed in 2020 of child sexual abuse while assigned to St. Stephen’s in Pennsauken and Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill NJ 1964-1966. Arrived in the diocese from Ireland in 1946. Per the Official Catholic Directory, O’Brien was named Monsignor in 1967. He was on sick leave 1970-1973, then on duty outside the diocese. He appears to have resurfaced in 1973 in Athens, AL in the Diocese of Birmingham. He died 11/28/1976.
