Fr. Edmund J. O’Connor
Accused by an 87-year-old man in a lawsuit filed in 1/20 under the NY Child Victims Act. The man claims that O’Connor and Sisters Mary and Veronica sexually abused him in the early 1940s at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church and school in Silver Creek, when he was in third through eighth grades. The school was run by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. O’Connor died 11/4/1959. Per his obituary, O’Connor was named pastor of the parish in 1912, and remained there for 47 years.
