Accused of abuse of a minor and placed on leave in 8/92. Police investigated; no charges filed. “Officially resigned” from priesthood in 1994. In 2004 it was learned that O’Gorman was working as a speechwriter for husband of Anne Burke, head of the U.S. Catholic Bishops’ oversight board on sex abuse.
