Fr. William P. O’Malley III
First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Allegedly sexually abused multiple minors in the 1980s and 1990s. Admitted to a sexual interest in adolescents; received treatment for “ephebophilia.” Removed from active ministry in 5/2003. Died in 2008. Lawsuit filed in 9/2018. Another filed in 11/2018, claiming abuse of two minors at St. Canice and St. Francis de Sales parishes. Included on the diocese’s list of credibly accused. New lawsuit filed in 6/2020.
