Accused on 5/17/02 of sexually abusing and exploiting a 12-year-old boy in 1957 during confession at the rectory of Immaculate Conception in Everett. (Archdiocese first mistakenly identified the priest as James W. O’Neil SJ.) Died 12/4/60. Name included on 8/11 Boston archdiocese’s list of accused priests. Criminal or canonical proceedings not complete at time of his death.
