Ordained in El Salvador. Working in L.A. in 1981; incardinated in 1987. Sued in 2003. Accused of abuse of a girl in 1987. Named in archdiocesan report. Archdiocese investigated and found no grounds to remove. At least one claim included in 12/06 $60M settlement involving 22 priests, which covers all of the cases involving molestations that occurred since Mahony was named head of the diocese in 1985. The archdiocese’s list in 12/21 shows Orellana as reitred with no faculties to minister.
