                                On 6/28/2018 the Diocese announced that Palys’s name was added to its list of credibly accused, and that he was on leave. Removed from the diocesan payroll 5/1/2020 as part of the Diocese’s bankruptcy agreement. Case sent to the Vatican. In 2/2023 the Diocese announced that an additional allegation against Palys was deemed substantiated. At that time there were reportedly three lawsuits naming Palys. He died 8/21/2024.
