Retired. Diocese announced 6/28/2018 that Palys’s name was added to its list of credibly accused, and that he was on leave. Removed from the diocesan payroll 5/1/2020 as part of bankruptcy agreement. As of 1/2022, his case was sent to the Vatican. In 2/2023 the Diocese announced that an additional allegation against Palys was deemed substantiated. In 2/2023 there were reportedly three lawsuits naming Palys.
