In a 5/04 civil suit filed by four men against four priests, a man alleged that Physician had abused him at Precious Blood parish from age 14 to 17 in the early 1970s. Physician, who had retired in 2002, was placed on leave 1/3/04. Police investigated but no charges filed. Archdiocese said charges were “serious and substantive.” Died 8/23/04. Included on the archdiocese’s list of credibly accused 6/10/19.
