From India, working in Chicago beginning in 1986. Fled the U.S. in 2002 after a report to Archdiocese that he was having an “inappropriate relationship” with 16-year-old girl. Warrant issued in 5/2002. Arrested in India in 6/2003; extradition pending in 3/2012. The girl’s attorney indicated that she might not want to pursue criminal charges. Chicago was to drop plans to extradite as of 5/1/2012. The Archdiocese previously reached an out-of-court settlement with the accuser. Laicized in 2008. Added to the Archdiocese’s list of credibly accused 11/28/2018. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report, which notes three “reported survivors.”
