Fr. Gary W. Pool
In 2003 a man filed a lawsuit claiming sexual abuse by Pool beginning when he was age 8 in 1979 and continuing until 1984. Pool was a deacon when the alleged abuse started. Pool went on leave of absence in 1987. (His accuser said that he went to another priest for counseling and that the other priest sexually abused him 1984-1993.) Pool denied the allegations. He was laicized in 1993 and later married. His name was included on the Jefferson City diocese’s list of accused 11/8/2018.
