Monsignor. Working at the Vatican since 1995 as Defender of the Bond at the Apostolic Signature. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 2/13/19. One alleged victim noted. Had been credibly accused in 2003 of sexually abusing a minor 23 years prior. The Holy See was informed, Punderson offered to resign, but he was allowed to continue in his role. In Fall 2018 the Trenton bishop instructed him to resign; this time his resignation was accepted. Removed from all public ministry.
