Accused in 1993 of molesting a boy in 1987. Allegations against Raux and Rev. James L. Wilson Jr. were settled in 1995 for $200K but Raux later denied the charge. Cardinal Law assured the military he knew of no reason why Raux would be unsuitable to work with children in a 1996 letter recommending Raux for a USAF chaplaincy in WY. Per 8/11 Boston AD database, Review board found accusations unsubstantiated or he was acquitted by canonical process. No restrictions on privileges. Appointed Archdiocese of Military Services, USA Dean for European Vicariate, per 8/17/12 announcement. “Very Reverend.”
