Br. Joseph Franklin Reagan
Accused in a 2003 civil suit against the Los Angeles archdiocese of abuse of a minor. The abuse allegedly occurred in 1965 when Reagan was working at Rancho San Antonio in Chatsworth, CA. He died in about 1989. He joined the order at age 18 and left in 1966 at age 22 to pursue a career in baseball. Included on the archdiocese’s Addendum to the Report to the People of God in 2005. (Reagan’s name is spelled “Regan” in the report, but is “Reagan” in his personnel file.)

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
