Named publicly as accused on the Archdiocese’s list 11/30/2018. Reports to the Archdiocese in 1993, 2002 and 2010 of abuse 1962 and 1972. Two victims. The 1972 allegation was disputed. Rizzo was removed in 2002 and retired in 2003. Per the NE Attorney General’s Report in 11/2021, Rizzo admitted in 2002 to sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl in 1962. The girl was a family member. The alleged 1972 abuse was of a 13-year-old girl, also a relative. In 2018 Rizzo was living at a retirement community for priests.
