Fr. Ernest E. Robinson
Name released by law firm 3/1/18. Likely “Priest K” in the 2003 Suffolk County GJ report, who admitted to a victim in a secret recording in 1998 to abusing him as a boy during his first assignment. Victim sued, received $160K settlement. “Priest K” was later accused of abuse of another boy, whose father complained to the diocese. Claims settled in 2/18 through the IRCP. Accused of abuse of an altar boy in about 1980, when assigned to a Greenlawn, NY parish. Abuse reported to diocese the day it happened and multiple times thereafter. Robinson remained in ministry until 2006. Thought to be “many other” victims. Convicted in 2007 of sexually abusing a male minor in MA in 2006. On CT sex offender registry in 2/18. On Rockville Centre diocese’s list in 3/21.
