Fr. Charles O. Rouse
Admitted during treatment for alcoholism at Guest House in MN in 1995 that he sexually abused two boys in 1981. Attorney General notified, privileges removed. Reports by 5/1995 of abuse of three boys. Sent to St. Louis for evaluation and treatment. Allowed graduate work at Washington University in St. Louis. In 2002 a man reported abuse by Rouse as a boy 1968-1972; he said he reported it to the Archdiocese in 1995 and was told others had already come forward so his information wasn’t needed. In 2014 a man reported sexual abuse by Rouse 1985-1989, at ages 9-13. Included on the Baltimore archdiocese’s list of accused in 2002. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report.
