First named publicly as accused on the diocese’s list 11/2/2018. Retired 2/10/1995. Died 2/8/2008. At a meeting in 1994 with his accuser, Bishop Kmiec and the diocesan chancellor, Rudisill admitted that he had molested his accuser when she was 12 years old in the 1950s. The abuse occurred in a closet at a Catholic school gymnasium. Rudisill’s name was included in 11/2018 on the Nashville diocese’s list, and on the Knoxville diocese’s list as of 3/6/2020.
