Fr. Donald Ruppert
Accused in a 2003 lawsuit of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy on several occasions in 1978. Ruppert’s accuser said he suppressed the memories until they “violently resurfaced” in 1/03, and that he was hospitalized. Ruppert was a counselor and teacher at the time of the alleged abuse. He denied the allegations. Ruppert became a priest of the Diocese of Victoria when it was established in 1982. The diocese deemed the allegations not credible. Remains in active ministry in 2019. On the San Antonio archdiocese’s list 1/31/19.
