Monsignor. Ordained in Spain. Working in the L.A. archdiocese in 1971; incardinated 1976. Sued in 2003. Accused of abuse of a minor 1978-81, per 2004 archdiocesan report. Archdiocese investigated, determined evidence did not support the charges. Sanchez consistently denied the allegations. Retired and returned to Spain in 2000. Claim included in 7/07 massive $660M settlement by L.A. archdiocese.
