Fr. William I. Shinnick
Parish priest, assigned in Arlington, Chelsea, Hyde Park, Dorchester, Roxbury, Charlestown, Lynn, and Lynnfield Center MA. Pastor of St. Maria Maria Goretti in Lynnfield Center from 1969 until his death in 1981. Accused in a lawsuit settled in 2023 of sexually abusing a girl, ages 10-14, during 1960-1964, while assigned to St. Mary’s in Charlestown, St. Patrick’s in Lynn, and St. James in Arlington. The abuse allegedly took place in the girl’s home.
