Fr. James G. Sickler
In a massive civil suit filed 10/1/03, 27 people alleged abuse by 24 priests, including Sickler. One man said he was sexually abused at age 14 by Sickler 1959-61. Sickler allegedly asked the boy to join a “secret club” in the restroom of the parish elementary school. Handshake for the “secret club” involved manipulating each other’s genitals. Sickler died 10/13/96. On the diocese’s list in 2/19.
