Fr. William Sprigler
Ordained for the San Antonio archdiocese. Accused in 1976 of sexually abusing two boys. Sent to treatment at Paraclete’s in NM. Granted indefinite leave in 1978 to join the Paraclete Fathers. Did not finish the process of joining the Paracletes. Moved to the New Ulm MN diocese 1983, where he was incardinated in 1988. Director of Priest Personnel 1984-1989. Retired in 2016 and worked as fill-in priest in New Ulm and in two FL dioceses. Removed from ministry in 12/2018, permanently removed in 1/2019. Included on the San Antonio’s 1/31/2019 list of accused. Sprigler died 12/30/2025.
