Fr. Jonathan L. Stewart
A woman filed suit in 3/04 on behalf of her 17-year- old son. Stewart allegedly molested the boy at ages 7 to 13 from 1993 through 1999. Restricted ministry after allegations received in 2/01. Removed from ministry in 2003. Church investigation continued. Church denied it knew abuse continued through 1999. Plaintiff’s attorney said social workers at Family Social Services found evidence of the abuse. Jury awarded $155K in damages 4/25/08. On archdiocese’s list 10/12/18.
