Fr. Marion T. Swize
A 56-year-old woman filed suit 2/05 alleging abuse by Swize beginning when she was age 14 or 15, and lasting for 3 years. Swize was teacher and volleyball coach at St. John the Evangelist School at the time. (A 2/05 news article mis-identifies him as “Myron Suize.” The Official Catholic Directories do not show anyone by that name.) Swize is included on the San Antonio archdiocese’s list 1/31/19. It notes he left the priesthood in 1969 to marry. He denied the allegations. The archdiocese found them credible.
