Fr. Albert A. Sylvia
Ordained for the Archdiocese of Boston in 1966. Assigned as a parish priest in Pepperell, then in Piura, Peru 1969-1973, followed by parish assignments in Lynn, Chelsea, Boston, Lawrence, and Peabody MA. Sylvia was also a spiritual director and teacher at the archdiocesan seminary. Accused in a lawsuit settled in 2026 of sexually abusing a boy, ages 12-14, many times from 1974 to 1976. The abuse allegedly took place at St. Joseph’s in Lynn. Sylvia died in 1/2019.
