Monsignor. Died in 1967. First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the Diocese’s list of accused. Per a 4/2/1996 diocesan memo, Thomas was accused of sexually abusing a boy on several occasions beginning in 1958, while assigned to St. Hugh in Carmichaels, PA. His alleged victim said a nun at the parish helped Thomas with some of the abuse, and that she sexually assaulted him separately at times.
