Fr. David Tushar
Tushar was placed on leave from ministry in the Diocese of Duluth in 7/2019 after allegations of abuse dating to 1978-1979, when he was a Holy Cross Father and school teacher in Niles IL. He was in the Duluth area from 1985 and incardinated there in 1988. The allegations were deemed credible. Permanently removed by the Diocese in 2020. Name included on the Holy Cross Fathers list of accused in 10/2020. Added to the Duluth diocese’s list in 1/2021. Tushar died 12/23/2021 in Las Vegas NV, where he had been living. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report, which notes two “reported survivors.”
